I've finally decided...

Fortunately, the classes I chose hadn't filled and they fit into my time frame!   I've signed up for a glass fusing class in which I'll learn to create cabochons for use in bead embroidery and other related jewelry projects. Since I already have a kiln, I might as well put it to more use than just firing metal clay! I'm also taking a fold-forming class in which I'll create a textured, hammered copper cuff. That will give my arm a workout! And I've signed up for Susan Lenart-Kazmer's class, "Caging Common Objects in Metalwork". This will be the fifth year in a row that I've attended a class taught by Susan. I always learn new jewelry-making tips from her and the classes are such fun!  Susan possesses a true "joie de vivre", which is indeed contagious and she is brimming with great ideas! Last year I learned the concept of "cold enameling" from Susan and a year or two before that I made the pendant shown below. I'm into immediate gratification and prefer projects that can be finished in class...I can always count on that when taking a class from Susan!
