When I get the beading bug (pun intended) and do actually pick up needle and thread again, I'm going to play with a few of these designs.  This book, by Nicola Tedman with super geometric beading guru, Jean Power, has patterns for stitching moths, butterflies, beetles, and other six-legged creatures.   Shown next to the book are several brass bugs I found at Gail Crossman-Moore's booth at the Bead&Button show.  I'm not sure what I will do with them - I'll just admire them until I come up with an idea!
